About Us
I got my first Dalmatian in
1992 and that was it for me, love at first sight.
This was not my first experience
with dogs though as I have been blessed enough to be able to have
experience with a diverse range of breeds from a relatively young
age
These included a Shepherd cross
"Pepper" who was our first family dog, she was great taught me
that I really loved dogs. The next "1 Week after Peps passing"
was a stray cross breed pup "Domino" that I brought home and although
mum said he was going back "down the coast where I found him half
staved at about 7 weeks old" he never did and became my faithful
companion who lived till a ripe old age of 14 years.
While we had Domino I was training
my Aunties German Shepherd "Raggs" "Hasseldorf Raggamuffin"
in obedience and in the QLD Pal Superdogs. We were members of
the Qld Pal Superdogs for a number of years untill he was retired.
So off to find a new Superdog enter Bart "Beechwood Black Bart,"
my show ring reject Shetland Sheepdog he was an interesting dog
1 ½ years old and hated kids; mind you I was only a skinny 14
year old at the time and very much a kid.
We sorted out our differences
and were a great team until his retirement. With the Superdog
team still going strong and Barty not at his best I thought it
was time to find an agile replacement. (As there was only a limited
number of 14 people on the team most would have the replacements
trained to take over when the oldies retired) This was what I
was after.
| Along came Echo or "Paceaway
Sure Echo" as he was also known. He was a perfect replacement
and did his share of performances until the Team stopped performing
in early 2000. He was a full on dog at a young age and as
showing was not our priority we tried obedience, will little
success. |

When I lost both Domino and
Bart to cancer I lived with Echo as an only child and tried agility
competitions as he had proved he was an excellent jumper. But
unfortunately as his body aged he was not able to continue to
compete in the jumping arena and missed out on getting his title.
He is now deceased and will
be sadly missed.
RIP "ECHO" 9TH OCTOBER
2006
